How to support us
Mayo Cancer Support must raise approximately €200,000 (90% of our running costs) each year in order to fund the services we provide FREE of charge to people affected by cancer. There are lots of ways that you can support us:
Donate
If you would like to support our work by making a donation, you can do so online via the purple donate button below, or the donate/support buttons on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Your generosity will enable us to continue to provide emotional support to people affected by cancer together with their families and friends.
Donations in cash or cheque format can also be hand delivered or sent by mail to Mayo Cancer Support, Rock Rose House, 32 St Patrick’s Avenue, Castlebar, F23 P659.
Remember a loved one
A donation in honour of the memory of a departed loved one facilitates a lasting legacy by helping us to continue to make a positive difference for people whose lives have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
People can also request donations to Mayo Cancer Support in lieu of flowers at a funeral or memorial service and this request is usually incorporated into the death/funeral notice for the deceased.
Wedding and event favour cards
If you are planning a wedding or another significant event, you might like to consider making a donation to Mayo Cancer Support in lieu of providing traditional party favours for your guests.
We can provide you with branded favour cards that will alert your guests to this gesture and of the positive impact it will have for local cancer support services.
Volunteer or fundraise
At Mayo Cancer Support we appreciate the value of time and your time is one of the greatest supports you can afford us.
The services and supports we provide for cancer patients and their families and friends could not be sustained were it not for the help of a great team of volunteers who make themselves available for a variety of enjoyable and rewarding roles.
