Drop-in Listening Service

The impact of a cancer diagnosis can be unprecedented both for the patient and his/her loved ones and many can struggle to discuss and/or cope with their illness. At Mayo Cancer Support, we offer a space where experienced volunteers and staff members are available to help those affected by cancer to talk about their experiences. They can also outline the services we offer and address any other questions or problems the service user may be experiencing.

This is not a professional counselling session but rather an opportunity to talk about what you are going through with someone who is trained to listen and has vast experience of assisting those affected by cancer. There is no cost for this service and it can be provided on a drop-in basis, by appointment or over the phone.
